Known issues in All New Jazz (Honda ANJ)

1) Fogging on windscreen during rain + AC

Very tough to fix it. After usage of AC, you need to increase temperature and blow air towards glass, so that the vapors get away. This is one of the rare issue with other vehicle and seems like it happens in Jazz due to the aero dynamic body shape.

2) Pick up/ power issue on hills.

No fix for this. Jazz in all works with less power till rpm is 2000. So ove
r taking other vehicle in hurry/ easy driving on hills are bit tougher with Jazz.

3) Mileage:

Even though the company boasts big mileage, it actually doesnt seems like. Mileage gets improved after some service but not in a very big way.

4)Low quality Tyre:

The tyre provided with brand new Jazz is of average quality. It can break or edges can be cut any time. Also you cannot permanently use the spare tyre, bcz the diameter is of different size.

5) Low ground clearance:

This is known that majority of the humps are touching the Jazz under body. So need to be bit careful here.

Teflon coating for ANJ, is it necessary for place like Mumbai which is humid mostly ?

What other efforts can be taken to protect paint when we have open parking and worried about car paint as most of time car is in open.

Better to get Teflon coating along with under body rust protection. once the car starts to rust, thats the end of it
Some people also suggest wax based polish like Meguires.

Which is the best Polish and wax for jazz?
Meguires Polish and Formula 1 wax

Clean & care
3m car shampoo and 3m glass cleaner are recommended

Hows the Jazz tank capacity once it starts showing empty warning?

Drove Jazz 65kms after it was showing RANGE zero. The Avg display was 12.6 kmpl.It made space for 38ltrs in tank to reach full ( Auto cut off from Nozzle). So dont worry when ur Jazz is at RANGE Zero. U have good amount of fuel to reach the next fuel station.

The rubber blades of the front wiper have cuts in them and the rubber strip has started to fall apart. I enquired at Honda , they are quoting 900Rs plus labour.

Why is the mileage so less in Jazz?
It depends on your driving skills. Minimum you will get 15 KMPL. I get 15 to 18 in city depending upon traffic.

Some getting 11.5 to 12.5 kmpl and max 13.5kmpl... In Highyway 2 lane traffic I got max of 17kmpl.... On Jazz CVT petrol.

Boot door of ANJ always in unlock mode while driving?
Usually vehicles gets locked once we are in an average speed, But Not in Jazz. To lock all doors, you need to lock them from driver door by central lock on then its locked.

Honda Jazz svmt 2012 front break pad cost Rs.4700/- at Honda Service Centre. Please suggest it is ok to go for any locally available pad e.g Tvs etc. And also have to change the wiper blades which cost Rs.3400/- at Honda and Rs.800-900/- at local market.Plz tell if any difference in performance.

Always go for genuine parts until if you are not a vehicle mechanic.

wiper blades are 900/- and disc pads where below 2500/-
